Nobody should have to negotiate their way out of a conversation they do not want to be in. These are the controls that exist here, what they do, and — just as importantly — what we do not claim.
What you control
Skip
Ends the current conversation and moves you on. One tap, no explanation, no penalty.
Block
Stops that person reaching you again through the platform.
Report
Sends the conversation for review against the community guidelines.
Camera and microphone
Stay under your control for the whole conversation — including turning them off.
Leaving
Closing the tab ends the session. There is nothing left running in the background.
18+ confirmation
Required before entering the video experience, on every device.
What we do not claim
Plenty of sites in this category imply supervision they do not have. Here is our line, in plain language:
- We do not claim that a human watches every conversation in real time.
- We do not claim end-to-end encryption for video calls.
- We do not show a live "people online" number, because we will not invent one.
- We do not guarantee who you will be matched with.
What we do have is enforcement after the fact: reports are reviewed, and accounts that break the community guidelines are removed.
Habits that do more than any feature
- Nothing identifying in frame — address, documents, work badge
- First names only until you have decided otherwise
- No money, ever, to anyone you met in a video chat
- Leave early rather than politely late
- Assume anything on camera could be screenshotted
If something serious happens
Report it here so we can act on the account, and — if you are threatened, extorted, or you believe a minor is involved — contact your local authorities. Do not pay anyone, and do not delete the evidence before you have reported it.
Under-18 use is not tolerated. If you suspect someone is a minor, leave the conversation and report immediately.

Is justalk.chat safe?
The controls are real and always available: skip, block, report, and leaving the conversation. What we cannot do is watch every conversation as it happens, and we will not claim otherwise.
How do I report someone?
Use the report control in the conversation. Tell us briefly what happened; reports are reviewed against the community guidelines.
Does blocking work both ways?
Blocking stops that person from reaching you again through the platform.
Is anyone under 18 allowed?
No. This is an adults-only service. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed, and we ask you to report any suspicion immediately.
Are conversations recorded?
Not by us as a feature of the product. Recording another person without their consent breaks the community guidelines and is grounds for removal.
